How to read this custom builder directory
What is different from a prefab module?
A custom build can be designed around your site and room requirements. Ask who manages design, approvals, foundations and construction, then compare the complete scope with a modular proposal. Neither approach is automatically cheaper or suitable for every block.
Who signs off energy and structure?
Ask the builder to identify the responsible engineer, energy practitioner and certifier or building surveyor for your jurisdiction. The ABCB publishes the NCC. Confirm the applicable compliance pathway and supporting documents before construction.
How should I use these cards?
